Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park presents The Scarlet Letter

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park presents The Scarlet Letter in Stage Center’s Tolbert Theatre Jan. 24 through 27. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for students, seniors or groups and available at all Civic Center Box Office locations or by calling 405-297-2264.

Mandee Chapman Roach directs the Anthony Schmitt adaptation of the classic American story by Nathaniel Hawthorne. Performances are Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.

Two student matinees are available for school groups during the day on January 24 and 25. Please contact 405-235-3700 for school matinee reservations.

There is no such rush for long time bachelors Beatrice and Benedick whose love for verbal sparring entice their friends to plot a happy ending. (show info)

The wicked and deformed Richard whose military prowess has helped his brother Edward to the throne, now plots to take the crown for himself. He creates a calculated plot using treachery, manipulation and murder to achieve his goal and removes all who stand in his way. (show info)
