Presents a Christmas Carol

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park (OSP) will present A Christmas Carol on Dec. 15, 16 and 17 at Mitchell Hall on the University of Central Oklahoma campus in Edmond. Shows are at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday with a 2 p.m. Sunday matinee. Tickets are available at the door; $8 for adults and $6 for students and seniors.

The Mitchell Hall performances follow tours to Lindsay and Altus as well as performances for the Gaillardia Country Club and River Oaks Golf Club.

Artistic Director Kathryn McGill directs the holiday show with a script adapted by Dr. Robert E. McGill. Wil Rogers will appear as Scrooge, Cade Nelson is Tiny Tim and Hal Kohlman will play Jacob Marley and the Ghost of Christmas Present. Others in the cast include Susan Riley, Sara Craig, Jimmy Pike, Daniel Gilbert and Kia Nelson.

Wil Rogers has worked for several seasons with OSP, most recently as Petruchio in last summer’s Taming of the Shrew. Cade Nelson repeats his role this season as Tiny Tim. Both he and his sister Kia are familiar faces in musical theatre both nationally and in the Oklahoma City area. Susan Riley has appeared often with OSP as well as with the Pollard Theatre and at the University of Central Oklahoma. Sara Craig, Jimmy Pike and Daniel Gilbert are UCO students, appearing frequently with OSP and other area theatres. Hal Kohlman teaches at UCO, performs and directs with OSP and other area theatres and is now appearing in his sixth production of A Christmas Carol.

This project is supported by the Oklahoma Arts Council and the University of Central Oklahoma. Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park is a member of Allied Arts, Frontier Country Marketing Association and the Oklahoma City Community Foundation.
