OSP’s mission: The mission of Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park is to produce bold, re-imagined, entertaining and accessible interpretations of Shakespeare and the classics.  We are committed to promoting the highest level of artistic excellence, to cultivating the widest possible audience and to contributing to the economic and cultural growth of our community, state and region through the professional theatre experience and educational outreach programs.

Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park is approaching our 33rd year of producing the classics in central Oklahoma.  We are members of Allied Arts and also receive major funding from the Oklahoma Arts Council, the Kirkpatrick Family Fund, the Inasmuch Foundation, and the Westheimer Foundation.  We produce 4 shows in two locations in the summer/fall, as well as a summer camp.  We are also the state coordinators of Poetry Out Loud, a national poetry recitation competition for high school students, which is supported the by the Oklahoma Arts Council, the National Endowment for the Arts and the Poetry Foundation.  With offices in the Paseo Arts District, we are also part of a thriving arts scene. We are members of Actors Equity Association, the professional union of actors and stage managers.
