To our theatre community,
I want to thank all of you for a wonderful second season at the Myriad Gardens Next year is our 25th season and believe me I know we would have never made it this far without you. I want to say thank you to the actors who wear beautiful costumes and never let on that they are suffering in velvet in 98 degree temperature. I want to say thank you to the technicians who are flexible and calm even though the rain clouds are threatening. And I especially thank our loyal audience who have known the beautiful atmosphere and magic of Hafer Park and have followed us in our necessary migrations. We are very happy in our new home, and the wonderful welcome we have received from the city.
I am very excited about the future. Oklahoma City is a city that is growing by leaps and bounds and we are in the middle of it all! I am incredibly grateful that I get to do what I do and get to do it with some of the finest actors, technicians and directors in the region. I am grateful to our wonderful audience. You all are part of the OSP family.
Let me officially announce our 25th anniversary season, which I dearly hope you all will want to be a part of. As You Like It directed by Kathryn McGill, Misalliance by George Bernard Shaw directed by Lance Marsh, Hamlet directed by Steve Knight, Twelfth Night, directed by TBA and a final evening performance of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged), which will be part of our 25th season celebration. I think it is a very exciting season and am particularly happy that Twelfth Night is part of the celebration as that was our first show in 1985.
I would also like to invite you to our winter show Julius Caesar directed by Kathryn McGill. A long time tradition of a Winter Classic has been part of our educational programming. Producing during the school year allows teachers throughout the state to introduce Shakespeare in a vibrant and entertaining way as well as providing evening performances for the general public.
Thanks again to you all. I miss you...hope to see you soon!
Best,
